Find answers to common questions about the 2025 OGP Africa and Middle East Regional Meeting.

It is a high-level gathering that brings together representatives from government, civil society, the private sector, and policymaking institutions, alongside global partners, to exchange experiences, share best practices, and discuss progress on open government initiatives and their implementation.

The meeting will take place March 25–27, 2025 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Upper Hill, Nairobi, Kenya.

Attendee registration will be limited to invited participants, which includes national OGP ministers, OGP local leaders, national and local OGP government points of contact, and civil society representatives from the region, as well as local Kenyan stakeholders and key global partners and funders.

We have very limited travel support available for this event and it is being allocated in exceptional circumstances, primarily to invited speakers, particularly from civil society.

We invite partners like governments, national and international civil society organizations, multilateral organizations, and others to hold workshops, consultations, and other events around the regional meeting. Learn more about how to submit information about side events here.

The agenda will focus on "Rebuilding Trust through Open Government" and cover a range of topics including:
